Anyone who completed IN PERSON Beef Quality Assurance with another organization, it must be DONE EACH YEAR per Ohio State 4-H rules.  The 3 year expiration on the certificate applies to ADULTS in the cattle industry, not 4-H youth.

 

YQCA: Online Quality Assurance Option for annual completion.
NO online test out will be accepted.
Members must complete online and turn in your completion certificate BY JUNE 1.
This is to be completed each year.
 

Quality Assurance Test Out Option: In person at the Extension Office only, no online test out will be accepted.

Youth who are between the ages of 12 and 18 as of January 1, 2026 are eligible to take a test to fulfill their mandatory Quality Assurance requirement.   4-H/FFA members aged 15-18 who pass the test will be exempt from the quality assurance requirement for the remainder of their 4-H/FFA career.  Members aged 12-14 who pass the test will fulfill the QA requirement until the year they turn 15. At that time, they will need to attend a QA training or take and pass the older age bracket test.
